**An excellent opportunity for a laboratory technician or a sales executive with consumables sales experience seeking their first capital equipment sales role in a market leading company experiencing substantial growth. This company has well known brands, very little direct competition and offers a lucrative opportunity for someone with the drive and determination to take their career in a new direction.**

The Company

My client is one of the UK’s leading suppliers of services and equipment to the laboratory sector. Their forward thinking range of services are trusted by bio-technology companies, pharmaceuticals, petro-chemical, FMCG, universities and the NHS throughout the country. As a market leader, product innovation, a continued commitment to excellent levels of customer service and good people are fundamental to their future success.

The Role

Following expansion they now seek to recruit a Sales Executive. Working from home you will be responsible for developing and managing the sales portfolio and established key accounts. This role will be a mixture of new and repeat business and will involve visiting clients and selling laboratory scientific equipment and laboratory consumables. You will be responsible for ‘up-selling’ and identifying new business opportunities, ultimately looking to exceed area sales and gross profit targets.

Your Background

To succeed in this varied and challenging role you will be looking to forge your career in a capital equipment sales role and have either a:

  • Background working as a laboratory technician with experience of using laboratory equipment such as pH meters or UV spectrometers; or
  • Experience working in a consumables sales role.

You will need to be well organised, an excellent relationship builder with a good attention to detail, the ability to ‘up-sell’ and to work autonomously in a field based capacity.

The Benefits

This is an opportunity to join an organisation that offers a unique service to the scientific sector. You will benefit from first class product training, recognised by the industry, which will run on an ongoing basis as new products are introduced. A generous remuneration package is also guaranteed, including competitive salary plus a lucrative commission scheme and a company car, along with the opportunity to progress your career within a market leading organisation. This company has well known brands, very little direct competition and offers a lucrative opportunity for someone with the drive and determination to take their career in a new direction.
