My client is a well established supplier of specialist medical and laboratory equipment. This instantly recognisable market leader is renowned for their forward-thinking products, support services and complete solutions that include sterilisation systems, washer disinfectors and autoclaves used within the healthcare, life sciences, pharmaceutical and industrial market sectors. They are a market leader in a number of equipment technologies and enjoy 'best in class' status with a number of their innovative systems.

The Role - Business Development Manager (Medical / Healthcare Systems)

Following expansion they now seek to recruit a commercially astute Business Development Manager. Working from home you will be responsible for developing and managing the sales portfolio and established key accounts. This role involves a mixture of account management and new business. You will be responsible for ‘up-selling’ and identifying new business opportunities, ultimately looking to exceed area sales and gross profit targets. You will look to extend the customer base, participate in relevant exhibitions and local events, assist in training team members, analyse competitor activity, organise territory product presentations and take responsibility for producing proposals and sales agreements, as well as all the associated administrative duties.

To succeed in this varied and exciting role you must be able to demonstrate previous experience selling capital equipment into the medical or healthcare sectors. The ideal candidate will have commerical acumen, strong interpersonal skills and be looking to further their career in a sales environment.
